Clear, windy and cold. Ben went over to mill and hunting horses again. Billy over in P.M. to get Sheloske's sled to move his goods from Linc Wheeler's place to Lester Curtis’. Louis Taylor getting ready to move into his old place.

Clear and cold. Ben went down to Jim's in A.M. Jim, E- and I went up to Bert Rathbun’s in P.M. to see about getting old “Prince”. Dad over in eve. I went over to Gram's in eve.
Thurs. Jan. 3rd
Very little snow, rained part of day. Ben went to Rideout's in A.M. to telephone to Rathbun’s in P.M. Ben and Dad went up to Rathbun’s in P.M. and brot “Prince” home. Conrad Jean came over and got Ben to go over to see their sick cow.
Fri. Jan. 4th
Good day. Ben had horse shod and worked half a day at the mill. Sadie Allen very sick

Colder, snowed a little most of day and all night. Ben worked at mill.

Cleared away in A.M. We spent day at Gram’s. Jim up. Dad over in eve. About 4 or 5 in of snow.

Good day. Ben went to mill. Worked only in P.M. No school. Helen Black sick with cold.

Lovely day. Ben worked at mill. Dad over in eve.

Good day, warm. Ben at homesick with cold. E- and I went down to Jim’s in P.M.

Partly cloudy, warm. Ma, E- and I took “Prince” (Rathbun’s) and went over to Louis Taylor’s to dinner and over to see Delia Ewing in P.M. Dad over in eve. Ben kept house.

Rained hard most all day. Ben went over to Gram’s in eve.

Nice day. Ben and E- went down to Jim’s in A.M. and to Bowdoin Ctr. in P.M. Ben and Dad went down to see Mr. Morgan in eve.

Nice day. Ma, E- and I went up to Mrs. Coskery's in P.M. Ben went back to mill to work.

Lovely day. Ben went to work in P.M. E_ and I rode piece with him then went over to Lange’s woods and rode home with Jim and Dad. Took dinner at Gram’s

Squally in P.M. Very cold, windy night. 16° below about 3 A.M. at Dad’s. (Tues. Morn.) Ben went to Falls and left “Prince” (Rathbun’s) in stable while he went to Bath on Grand Jury. Dad over in eve. to do chores. Billy over in morn. to get some wood and provision’s for Ed Giguere. Heard that Ed Giguere was going to hospital.

Lovely day. Ben and E- went down to Jim’s in morn. after Spike and Harry to haul out wood. I went down in late P.M. when Ben and E- took the horses home. Uncle John was to go to work in Middleton

Snowed about 6 or 8 in. of damp snow. Wallace Rideout here in A.M. Ben went down to Jim’s to work in shop.

Snowed some in late P.M. Ben at home. Ben went over to Dad’s in eve. Sadie Allen very sick at hospital – had appendicitis then pus gathered on lung.

Very little snowy, sleet in morn. Ben went down and brot “Spike and Harry” up to haul out wood. E- and I rode down at night when he took the horses home.

Lovely day. Ben lame. He went over to Len Prout's in P.M. by the Center and took E- and me over to Grace Coombs’ for visit. Clara took Otis up to Sade's for short call, first visit.

Lovely day. E- and I went up to Sade’s in P.M. Ben went to mill. Sara Allen operated on for pus on her lung.

Began snowing early in P.M. Ben, E-, Dad and I went over to Prout’s after load of hay.

Good day. Dad helped do chores. Ben went down to Harry Prout’s to see Ralph. Henry Jean came over in P.M. to saw wood. Dad over in eve.

Nice day. Mr. Jean, Romeo and Conrad finished sawing our wood in A.M. and sawed Dad’s in P.M. Girard came over to play with Everett.

Nice day. Ben home. Mabel Adams died about 11 P.M. Blood vessel broke. Left baby 10 days old.

Clear and little warmer. We spent Sunday at Gram’s. Billy and Amy and Wm. Jr. over too. Jim, June and Merton came up in P.M. Mabel Adam’s funeral at 1 P.M. Burial in South Cemetery. Amy’s mother taking care of Mabel at time of her death.

Ben went to work but came home in P.M. Williams' mill broke down. Edna Card left Arthur and moved home. Everett and I went up to Coskery’s in P.M.

Cool and windy. Billy and Lester Curtis over in P.M. to bring Sheloske’s sleds. Ma and I went down to Grace Card’s in P.M. Dad over in eve. Ben plowed and harrowed. Lawrence Goodall and Thelma Rideout married.

Much warmer. Ben went to mill and came back. Ralph up to N. H. getting ready for the awning business. Ma and Dad over in eve.

Partly cloudy. Ben worked down to Jim’s. Billy had dinner with Gram and Gramp then they all came over here to move our stove.

Rained, then snowed about 3 in. Ben whitened 2 rooms for me. Billy left Amy in P.M. She and Wm. Henry came to Gram’s and stayed all night.

Good day. Amy, Wm. H. and I left here at 6 A.M. Went over to Lester’s then to Taylor’s and back to Lester’s. Ben and E- came over on wagon. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor came over to Lester’s. We picked up some of Bill’s things and brot them home. Brot Bobby (his horse) and Trixy. Will Dunn came up in morn. after Bill’s buggy he bot. Linc Wheeler bot hens and cow. Ben went over to Linc’s in late P.M. and to Frank Curtis' after potatoes for Dad. Lester Rideout’s cider mill burned in A.M. and lots of farming tools.

Good day. Ben worked at mill. Awning business settled between Harvey Prout and Ralph Williams. Jim had telephone call from Billy at Gray. Dad over in eve.

Rained hard most of day, spit snow a little and thundered some. Ben helped me paper our bed room. Ma helped in P.M.

April showers, very cool. Ben went to Mill. Amy and Wm. H. came to dinner and went home early in P.M. I painted our bedroom floor in A.M. Ma and Dad over in eve. Billy came home in eve.

Cool and Windy. Billy called on us before breakfast. Ben and E- went to West Bowdoin in P.M. Beatrice Randall Mulhall’s first baby born (Ruth Louise).

Cool and showery and windy all day. Ben went to mill after Williams’ wagon and see Ralph. Eddie Nasiff here to dinner. I went down to Jim’s in eve.

Best day for weeks. Billy took Dad, E- and me to Falls to 11.15 A.M. car for Gray then he went up to Louis Taylor’s and took Amy and Wm. Jr. over to Ma’s to stop. Harry took us out to Roy’s in his car. Roy, Dad, Ella, E- and I went mayflowering in P.M.

Nice day. Dr. Plummer up to Ma’s in eve. to see Amy. Harry Mc- came home.

Cloudy and cold. Had call from Ben in morn. to come home. Dr. Plummer came up in early morn. He and Billy took Amy to hospital. Dr. Cushman operated on her for appendicitis immediately. Ella and Roy took me to the 1 o’clock car. We rode up with Jim and from Jim’s with Mr. and Mrs. Hervey. Ma and Dad over in eve. I brot Wm. Henry home from Ma’s to take care of.

Rained part of day. Thundered several times. We had dinner at Gram’s. Billy came home in eve. He and Dad came over.

Partly cloudy. Ben yarded wood over in No. 9 district for Bilodeau of Lewiston. Sade Rideout called in P.M.

Heavy rain, thunder and lightening in eve. Ben took Kit and Dick back to Ralph at then Jaques place. He and Ralph looked over a lumber lot on Eisson place of Bill Jordan’s then Ben went to Bowdoinham after Topsy. Helen Black (teacher) stayed all night at Gram’s on account of rain. Jim and Bill here in P.M.

Rain in A.M. Ben went to Bath on Grand Jury. E-, Wm. Henry and I went down to Grace Card’s in P.M. Conrad Jean, Ed Terriault and Alfred sawed wood here in P.M. Court session lasted 55 min.

Good day. Grace and young ones came up in P.M. Uncle Roswell and Mrs. Bonney married.

Good day. Jim up after setting eggs in A.M.

Cloudy. Ben, E- and I rode down to Jim’s in eve. Ma and Bill stayed with baby. Guy Card in in eve.

Good day. Sheloske sold the Cady place to Frenchman from Danville Jct. Ben and E- went down to Jim’s in P.M. Billy went up to hospital in P.M. Amy came home. Guy Butterfield brot them to Falls in his car then she came up in buggy with Bill.

Good day, very windy. We had dinner at Gram’s. Gramp planted and Ben and Bill hauled dressing. Andrew came up to tell us the place was sold.

Good day. Amy helped take care of Wm. Henry while I washed.
Tues. May 20
Good day. Ma, E- Wm. Henry and I went up to Mrs. Coskery’s in P.M. The Frenchman that bot Sheloske’s place came to tell Dad he would take possession Thurs.
Wed. May 21
Good day. Mrs. Jean’s brother came to look the Cady place over in A.M. and brot wife in P.M. Billy took Amy and baby over to her mother’s in morn. Sade called in P.M. Ground froze.
Thurs. May 22
Heavy mist most of day. Two Frenchmen came in A.M. with big truck full of goods. Ma, Dad, Aunt A, Jim, Bill, Everett, Ben and Alfred Morgan moved Gramp’s goods over. Verna and Viola brot Amy and Wm. Henry over in P.M. Louis on drunk. Bill went to West Bowdoin and Ctr. in A.M. Amy and baby stayed down to Jim’s. Bill down there all night.

Bill worked in woods with team hauling out wood for Bill Coskery and Guy Card on Bilodeau lot. Ben and Dad moved goods. Good day. Joe Couture brought Mr. Bryant and wife in P.M. Billy stayed down at Jim’s all night.

Light showers. Bill worked for Bilodeau. Ben went to Ctr. in A.M. Bill went down to Jim’s in P.M. and brot Amy and the baby up. Grace and Guy card moved into Mrs. Coskery’s.
Sun. May 25
Rained some in morn. then cleared away. We all cleaned up the barn then Bill, Amy and the baby went over to Taylor’s in P.M. Ben, E- and I went to Ctr. in P.M. Heavy frost, ground froze some. Grace card’s third baby born – George Clifford.

Cloudy most of day, windy. Bill worked at Abel's. Mr. Hickey down in eve. to have horse shod. Ben took him down to shop at Jim’s.

Good day. Billy worked over to Bert Jones’. Ben, E- and I went to Bowdoinham in P.M. to see their Galloway separator. Called into Coombs’ to see Nellie and Mort.

Good day. Billy worked at Abel’s. Amy and the baby went to Falls to spend day.

Very little rain during night. Good day E- and I went up to Grace Card’s in P.M. Isaac Snow died.

Good day. Ben, E- and I went over to see Delia in P.M. on Fred Youland’s old place. E- and I went up to Grace Card’s in eve. to take Aunt Alice to work. Fire up near Monmouth town farm. Funeral services held in Westbrook for Mrs. Elmer Lord.

Nice day. warmer. I took Ben down to Skelton’s in morn. then went up to Grace Card’s in A.M. Edna up in morn. to bring June and Merton while she and Dad went to Falls for Dad to have teeth out and get her glasses fitted. Everett and I took June and Merton home in P.M. and called to see Amy.

Lovely warm day. No school (Armistice Day). Gram and Everett went up to Curtis’ in P.M.

Fog and showers all day. Dad went down to Jim’s in eve. with heifer.

Little warmer. Mrs. Byrnes auction continued. Ma went down to Bill’s and Jim’s in P.M.

Warmer. I went down to Bill’s in P.M. Amy came up with youngsters in P.M. Bill put part of the sawdust round the house. In A.M. Ben and Lewis Loon from Richmond came with four of Byrnes’ horses to put up for the night. Mrs. Byrnes’ auction finished.

Warmer. Ben and Lewis left about 6.20 for the Ricker lot in Litchfield to move Burns’ boiler to the Federal road to be sent to Bath for Repairs. I went to Ctr. I went to Ctr. in A.M.

Good day. Ma went down to Viola Grover’s in P.M. when Dad went down to Ordway’s. School closed for Thanksgiving recess.

Few light showers during day. E- and I went down to Bill’s in A.M. Bill finished putting sawdust round the house. Ben came home in P.M. with “ Duke and Rhoda” Burns’ horses.

Rained some during night and most of day. Heavy wind all night. Ben, E- and Dad went down to Jim’s in P.M. Dad went down again in eve.

Snowed part of day. Ben left about 6.30 A.M. for another load of Burns’ mill at Litchfield. Dad took Everett and me to the 9.15 car to Gray. We walked up from Corner. Joe went to Portland after his radio outfit.

Good day. Ella, Catherine, Everett and I went up to store in P.M.

Began snowing in P.M. Roy and Pa Mc- went part way to Yarmouth to get their new horse. Pa Mc- had a “nervous breakdown” in eve. Harry went to Portland.

Cleared away in A.M. 5 or 6 in. of snow fell. Roy took us to the 11 o’clock car. Ben met us at the Falls. Had first sleigh ride.

Good day. I went down to Jim’s in morn. before Jim and Edna went over to Buker’s to spend day. We unloaded our tree in A.M. Ben worked in shop all day. Everett and I went down to Bills and Morgan’s in P.M. Dad and I went down to Bill’s in eve. Hickey came down with his violin, Lewis Taylor, Verna and Leroy Cook. Guy and Grace Card and family were there. Alfred Morgan didn’t come home. Sick in bed a number of days. Margaret Small (Bill’s Widow) died. Amy up in early eve. Wm. Henry sick.

Good day. Down to zero. Ben worked in shop. Amy up in P.M. to tell us Wm. had chicken pox. I went down to Bill’s in P.M. Mr. Woodward (Charlie Coombs’ father-in-law) killed at Howard's Crossing by train. Auto skidded.

Good day, warmer 10°. Ben, E- and I went down to Jim’s from there to West Bowdoin, from there to Len Coombs’, from there to Bert’s and home. Ben worked in shop for rest of day. E- and I went down to Jim’s in P.M. Verna came over to help Amy. Cook came in eve.
